As a landscape designer working at the intersection of biological systems and urban infrastructure, I view the landscape as a system of metabolic exchange—an approach rooted in the study of connectivity. My practice involves translating micro-biological behaviors into a spatial language, treating the urban fabric as a responsive and living organism. Beyond physical structure, this inquiry explores the human dimension of the built environment through place-based learning and the cultivation of agency. Currently applying this systemic thinking at an urban planning scale across Texas, my work seeks to bridge the gap between microscopic logic and the social agency of the communities I serve.
